Lipids Derived lipids Biomolecules Class 11 Biology my life goals

Lipids are another macronutrient. Which are insoluble water and
soluble in organic solvent (nonpolar solvents).

They are hydrophobic in nature. Because they belong to the
group of compound which we called lipids.
 In which have
steroids waxes and fats are included. They are dissolve in water.
Lipids are made up carbon hydrogen and oxygen elements. Just
like a carbohydrate. In lipids the ratio of hydrogen and oxygen are more then
2:1 in lipids have more then 2 hydrogens.
Compound lipids:
In compound lipids we Have Sulfur Phosphorus
and nitrogen.
Structure of lipids:  Lipids have two type of monomers first are
fatty acid and second is long chain of alcohol which are normally glycerol.
Fatty acid is those molecules a large number of carbon atoms end have carboxylic
acid. Laurie acid is a fatty acid Which are commonly found in coconut oil.
Glycerol are three carbon alcohol which have three OH group.
If one fatty acid are attach to the carbon number one of glycerol we called it
monogylcerol. Of two fatty acids are attach we called diglycerol and so on.
This is the triglycerol because 3 fatty acids are attach.
Classification of
lipids:
lipids are classified on simple lipids compound lipids and derived
lipids.
We will learn barfly on fatty acid and classification in
another video.
We learn three monomer of biomolecule in sha allah I make a
video on nuclei tied also. If you don’t see the video link are in the discretion,
please like and shear the video and join us on fb group. and finally thanks for
watching.
