We all know that all living organism are made of cell. Cell is the basic structural and functional unit of life. Cell can be prokaryotic or eukaryotic the difference is the presence of membrane bound organelles. Cellular organization can be of three types. 1) Unicellular organization 2) Colonial organization 3) Multicellular organization UNICELLULAR ORGANIZATION: example of unicellular organization is amoeba, chlamydomonas, euglena etc. all these are single called organisms. Their single cell is capable of respiration digestion, excretion reproduction etc. Colonial organization: example of colonial organization is volvox. They consisting of 500 to 50000 cell. Eyespot that allow them to swim near light. Flagella for locomotion for moment. Multicellular organization: they have proper organ system. E.g. are brassica campestris this the scientific name of mustard plant. Its leave is us...

Enzyme are protein catalyst that increase the velocity of chemical reaction. In previous video I make a video on enzyme link on the discerption. A. Active site: enzyme molecules contain a special pocket called the active site. The active site contains amino acid side chains that participate in substrate binding and catalysis. The substrate binds the enzyme forming enzyme substrate ES complex. ES is converted to an enzyme product EP complex. B. Catalytic efficiency: enzyme catalyzed reaction are highly efficient proceeding from 10 to the power 3 to 10 to the power 8 time faster than uncatalyzed reactions. The number of molecule of a substrate converted to product per enzyme molecule per second is called the turnover number or Kcat. C. Specificity: enzyme is highly specific, interacting with one or a few substrate and catalyzing only one type of chemical reaction. The set of enzymes made in a cell determi...

Steroids: is the third major class of lipids in the steroids which are organic compound with four ring arranged in specific molecular configuration. In this structure three cyclohexane ring A B C are connected in the same way as in phenanthrene a fused cyclopentane ring D is also present. Examples include cholesterol, the sex hormones estradiol and testosterone. Sterol: are the sub group of steroids which have alcohol also know is steroids alcohol and important class of organic molecule. In structure 3 cyclohexane ring and 1 cyclopentane ring. They are naturally present in plants animal and fungi and also produce by some bacteria. Sterols of plants are called phytosterols and sterols of animals are called zoosterols. Most important sterol in Animals is cholesterol. Cholesterol: the most abundant steroid in the human body and the most important is cholesterols. Cholesterol is 27 carbon compound and a hydroxyl group on carbon number 3. It is quit solid. Cholesterol se...
